💚
Driven by Experience

Born from personal experience

Founded in May 2025, Embracing Hearts and Minds (EHM) is a non-political, non-governmental organisation whose roots lie in the lived experience of its founders — parents who understand firsthand the weight of raising children with special needs.

EHM recognises the mental stress faced by families and caregivers that can lead to adverse conditions — financial strain, emotional burden, relationship breakdowns, and in some cases, the abandonment and isolation of children who deserve care and love.

Through education, empowerment, and community engagement, EHM reaches out to families across Zambia, equipping them with the knowledge and tools to give their children a quality life.

The world we believe in

💬

No one should battle silent grief or anxiety because there is no help. Every person deserves to be heard.

🌅

No child should be hidden away due to community ignorance or family fear of stigmatisation.

🧩

No special needs child should lack inclusive support because the caregiver lacks tools and knowledge.

🌟

No child with potential to thrive and work should be denied opportunity because of their disability.

❤️

No child or parent should face stigma or be denied emotional support because of their differences.

"In love we bring our hearts together, to talk, to heal and to celebrate the diversity of those who need us."

— Embracing Hearts & Minds Zambia

EHM's long-term aspiration is to own and operate a dedicated centre where persons with disabilities and their families can receive sustained support for years to come — a permanent home for healing, growth, and community.
